pharmaceutical companies, disease-management companies, assisted-living centers, substance-abuse treatment providers, skilled-nursing facilities,
medical device manufacturers, and home health companies.
She also advises private equity firms in their investments in health care companies, and banks in their lending to health care entities and private equity sponsors.

She has guided responses to data breaches and improper disclosures of protected health information (PHI),
advising clients on the necessity, nature, and scope of legally required notifications.

and in disputes with government and commercial payors over reimbursement and fraud-and-abuse issues.

to understand their obligations under the company's compliance program.
She has trained executives and other corporate employees to recognize and combat fraud and abuse in company arrangements.
She also provides training concerning HIPAA compliance issues to health care providers and commercial entities that provide services to health care providers,
known as business associates.
Ms. Goldberg received her J.D. with honor from the University of Maryland School of Law.
She was elected Order of the Coif and served as an associate editor of the Maryland Law Review.
Ms. Goldberg received an M.S. in Social Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work.
She received a B.A. from the University of Rochester in Spanish literature.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Goldberg clerked for the Honorable Lawrence F. Rodowsky, who was a judge on the Maryland Court of Appeals.
Before joining Goldberg & Goldberg, Ms. Goldberg worked in the Washington, D.C., office of Winston & Strawn LLP for almost 16 years,
of which she was a partner for more than 13.
Prior to joining Winston & Strawn, Ms. Goldberg was an associate at Piper, Marbury, Rudnick & Wolf, LLP, the predecessor to DLA Piper.
Ms. Goldberg is admitted to practice in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Ms. Goldberg is a member of the Health Law Sections of the District of Columbia, Maryland state, and American Bar associations,
and she served as chair of the Program and Education Committee of the D.C. Bar's Health Law Section.
Ms. Goldberg is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and served on the Law360 Health Editorial Advisory Board from 2012 to 2016.
Ms. Goldberg is the Third Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington.
She is also the Chair of its Bylaws Committee.
